How to Use Upfront Hair Masques

There’s nothing quite like sitting down on the couch with a cup of coffee, watching Netflix and letting your hair bask in a nourishing masque. But, there’s one problem - the bulky plastic tub that your hair masque is in (not to mention all of the yucky ingredients that probably don’t do your hair any favours)!

Here’s when our Hair Masques come to save the day - no bulky plastic packaging and three masque cubes packed full of rich butters, nourishing oils and delightful smelling essential oils. Keep reading to learn about the five different masque formulas and how to use them!

These masques are super simple to use - all you have to do is take one masque cube and  ¼ cup of just boiled water, pop it into a heat safe bowl, and stir until it has a creamy, luxurious consistency. Let it cool, then apply it all over your hair and scalp.

You can leave it on for 5-20 minutes (or longer if you want some seriously deep conditioning), then give your hair a good rinse. Just like that, you will have super smooth, soft and shiny hair!

We have five masque formulas that have different scents, butters and oils, so what masque you choose depends on your preferences! First up, we have the Tucuma + Jojoba masque. 

This masque smells like candy canes (um, yes please) and has lots of delicious oils and butters like tucuma butter, mango butter, jojoba oil and apricot oil. 

Next up is the Kokum + Abyssinian masque, which has notes of lemon and lime. The highlights of this formula are of course, kokum butter, as well as mango butter, abyssinian oil and avocado oil.

If you’re a fan of the Earl Grey shampoo and conditioner bars, this next masque might be your pick! The Cupuacu + Brocoilli Seed Oil masque is super moisturizing, with ingredients like cupuacu butter, mango butter, sacha inchi oil and brocoilli seed oil.

Next up is the Babassu + Argan masque, which is not only great for hair damage and split ends, but also for its detangling properties! That means this masque is also great to use on children whose hair is somehow always unruly and tangled (parents, how does it even happen?)

This lemongrass and orange scented masque features babassu butter, mango butter, argan oil and avocado oil.

Last but not least is the Aloe + Camellia masque, which has notes of roasted coffee and mint, making it the perfect masque for a midweek pick me up! Offering intense hydration from cameilla seed oil, this formula also includes aloe butter, kokum butter, mango butter and avocado oil.

Out of all the cool traits our Hair Masques have, the coolest has to be that the craft paper bags are lined with bio material made from renewable resources such as corn and sugar, meaning it is a sustainable product and is compostable in industrial composting facilities!
