Packing Peanuts - What The Heck Are They?

Yep, you’re right! If you’ve made an order with us recently, you may have noticed these little styrofoam pieces that protect your products during shipping. But, they’re not styrofoam - don’t worry!

We would never want anything to happen to your products in transit, and of course we wanted to find a plastic free alternative to traditional packing materials. After a lot of research, we discovered these biodegradable packing peanuts that are pure starch!

So, these packing peanuts are plant based and biodegradable, cool. But how do you dispose of them properly? There are lots of ways to do that, it just depends on how you want to do that!

• If you run a business, you can recycle them to use in your orders
• You can put them in your compost
• You can dissolve them in water
• If you do choose to put them in the garbage, no worries! Since they are biodegradable, they won’t harm the environment in any way.
